International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism
Mission Statement
The Institute promotes Jewish and Humanistic scholarship by educating those of any religious or philosophical outlook and by training for people to become Leaders and Rabbis according to the philosophy of Secular Humanistic Judaism.
The Institute offers:
- A Master’s Degree program in Judaic Studies for academic and intellectual development;
- Training of clergy, including rabbis and certified leaders, to serve the Jewish community as well as congregations and communities of Secular Humanistic Judaism;
- Leadership training of educators, spokespersons, music directors, and to further support communities of Secular Humanistic Judaism;
- Continuing education for the Jewish and general public that reflects the values of Secular Humanistic Judaism;
- Conferences on issues of Jewish concern for a pluralistic society;
- Publications of academic and intellectual explorations focused on Secular, Humanistic, and Jewish issues.
